TRANSPORTATION

The North Las Vegas Airport is the second busiest airport in Nevada and is used for small and privately owned aircraft. McCarran Airport, which serves the Las Vegas Valley, is the fifth busiest airport in North America and tenth busiest in the world averaging 120,000 passengers per day.

Bus service is provided by Citizen Area Transit (CAT) mass transit system. The RTC began the Citizens Area Transit (CAT) bus system in December 1992. In 2004, the RTC added the first Metropolitan Area Express (MAX) line to its transit system and in October 2005 The DEUCE double deck bus service began running on the famous Las Vegas Strip. Ridership among the RTC's transit services has grown from 14.9 million riders in 1993 to more than 55 million riders. The buses offer 24 hour service in the downtown and Strip areas and 20 hour service to residential areas.

Several taxicab services are available around the valley.
