Visitors and residents enjoy
sunshine about 316 days a year with summer temperatures
exceeding 100 degrees. The average daily temperature is 80.7
degrees with humidity in the mid 20's. Winter nighttime
temperatures fall into the low 30’s but average daytime
temperatures are in the 50’s. Average rainfall if 4.9 inches and
while snowfall in the city is infrequent; the mountain areas
receive enough snowfall in nearby Mt. Charleston to make the
area a popular skiing location.
